Strawberry and meringue smoothie

When you want to indulge in a fresh, delicious snack, smoothies have just what it takes: sweet vanilla, fresh strawberries and crispy meringue, for a break with international flavor.
Ingredients
FOR THE RECIPE
  • 6-8 ice cubes
  • 3.5 oz vanilla ice cream
  • 2 strawberries
  • 1 fl oz K-Cup® Pods (one coffee)
  • 1.2 oz whipped cream
  • 0.4 oz meringue
FOR THE GARNISH
  • 0.1 oz meringue
  • 0.2 oz strawberry syrup
Preparation

Prepare an espresso ristretto. Pour the ice, which you can first crush, ice cream, fresh strawberries and finally the espresso, straight into the blender. Blend at high speed: the mix must have a thick texture, rather than liquid. To obtain it, you can stop blending every so often and stir the mixture with a spoon, to prevent lumps from forming. Add the meringues and stir with a long spoon.

Composition

Serve the smoothie in a tall, wide glass, cover with the whipped cream and decorate as you wish with the meringues and strawberry syrup.
