Ferran Adrià: more than a Master Chef

Food philosopher and guru of international gastronomy, Chef Adrià requires no introduction.

Listed in Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world, Ferran Adrià, holder of honorary degrees, has radically altered the world of contemporary haute cuisine in recent years.

Our collaboration with Chef Adrià began in the year 2000, when we launched the special Coffee Design trend. Thanks to this partnership, coffee was officially introduced to the world of top gastronomy. At the time, you could also enjoy a Lavazza coffee at the end of an exquisite meal at top restaurants, including the El Bulli in Barcelona and Heart on Ibiza.



In El Bulli restaurant Adrià devised a creative method that has now become the basis for new research projects. The full story and all the materials relating to the 1,846 recipes he concocted over his years of gastronomic creativity are available at the Cala Montjoi Foundation, which opened in 2019.

Adrià is also the founder of the El Bulli Foundation, an innovative center for gastronomic research which aims to study and catalogue all the culinary knowledge in the world. This most extraordinary initiative has placed culinary innovation at center stage, bringing together culinary traditions, knowledge and expertise from all over the world.
